I am so blessed to serve as Pastor of First Baptist Church Tanner. I believe we are about to enter some of our most exciting and fruitful days. God continues to bless our church with new families and new opportunities to touch even more lives with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church facilities are the home base and the launching pad for all our missions and ministries.

To keep our facilities safe, secure and functional it just takes money. There are areas that need expanding, some areas need updating, and some need repairs. Since our current monthly income is used for our operating budget, we must now focus on a solution to move forward where God is leading.

“SEE BEYOND” has been selected as the name for our upcoming stewardship campaign. In the days ahead we will be asking every household affiliated with our church to prayerfully consider making a three-year financial commitment over and above our ongoing tithes and offerings through the SEE BEYOND building fund.

Our prayer is that we will see beyond our own resources and trust God for His provisions. To see this vison become a reality, it will be imperative that we see beyond our walls and even see beyond our generation as we begin now to pray about our level of financial commitment. Your involvement is vital.

We are engaging in a focused and concerted effort to fund the multi-faceted facility improvements and expansions that have been identified as the most immediate priorities for our church. Facilities are SIMPLY where people Gather. therefore, our ultimate purpose is to more effectively reach, disciple and minister to the people that God brings through our doors.

The first phase of construction will focus on expanding and updating our children and pre-school areas. We also hope to eventually address our worship space and gathering area at the front entrance along with parking lot re-configuration and other renovations such as funding will allow.

Limestone County is the fastest growing county in the state of Alabama. The mission field is at our doorsteps. I know there are families that need Jesus and need a church home. Although facilities alone are not and should not be what introduces people to the Lord and the church, they certainly can be a barrier. Our SEE BEYOND stewardship campaign is an effort to remove those barriers.

OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS 100% ENGAGEMENT

We believe this is a defining moment—a season where every heart at Gospel Hope Church joins together in faith and purpose. Our desire is for each person to take bold steps forward in their walk with Christ, deepening discipleship and embracing a spirit of generosity. We are praying for God to move powerfully, opening our hearts wide so that we can fully become who He created us to be together.

FOOD SERVICE BEGINS 9:45 WORSHIP 10:30

This will be a historic day in the life of our church. Join us for this exciting day of worship as we make our commitments to the SEE BEYOND Project. We will meet in the Family Life building for fellowship, brunch, and worship that Sunday morning. Breakfast/brunch refreshments will be served. There will be no Sunday School or Connect groups meeting that day.

10/11/2026 | CELEBRATION SUNDAY

Our commitment total will be announced, and we will receive our “first fruits” offering for the 3-year giving period during the morning service.
